Thermally modified Nordic pine. Boards are taken to 212 °C under steam — Thermo-D, the exterior grade of the ThermoWood standard. No chemicals and no preservatives at any stage. The colour runs through the full thickness of the board, so there is no coating to fail, nothing to flake, and nothing to repaint.
Seventeen profiles across cladding, decking, battens and sauna staves. Lengths 3.0–5.4 m, surface brushed or planed, nineteen of the thirty-four sizes held in stock.
Where we recommend it: garden rooms and garden offices, saunas, timber frame houses, hot tub staves and deck slats. It earns its price fastest in southern Europe, where resin bleeding through a painted pine facade is the failure that brings customers back.
Where it is not the answer: anything load-bearing — structural use is not permitted — and anything in ground contact or standing water. Durability Class 2 to EN 350 is an above-ground rating.
Fix with stainless A2 as a minimum, and pre-drill near board ends. Full technical guide, profile table and installation notes →
